Dresses For Orphans
Dresses for Orphans is a nonprofit ministry that makes dresses and shirts for kids in overseas orphanages. It is an all volunteer organization with its headquarters in Mesa, Arizona and sewing groups there as well as in Washington and Ohio. Dresses and shirts are individually sewn and provided free to children around the world. They began in the late fall of 2008 and as of December 2012, they have served over 10,000 children in 28 different countries. They work with contacts in the U.S. who take the outfits overseas during individual or group mission trips to their intended orphanage. They are supported solely through the gifts of individuals who believe in their ministry and want to be a part of what God is doing through them.
